Boyer’s Furnace 40 Miler – A VHTRC Fat Ass

The Boyer’s Furnace Fat Ass was held on a beautiful Saturday in late December. Blue skies, sunshine and temps in the 60’s made this challenging 40 miler even more of a treat.

The Year of the 100

A few scenes from my 100 mile runs this year…winter TWOT (a DNF, 3 loops, 81 miles), MMT, Vermont and Grindstone. What a wonderful year of running and friends. Run happy!

Winter TWOT - a cold, snowy and icy journey

Winter TWOT – a cold, snowy and icy journey that ended after 3 loops and 81 miles – and a cranky IT band

MMT 100 - May 2014 - this picture pretty much sums it up

MMT rocks

MMT 100 – I had a blast running the orange trail! A fabulous weekend in the Massanutten mountains with the VHTRC!

Vermont roads...this 100 was a "one and done" for me

Vermont roads are really, really hard. This 100 was a “one and done” for me.

Vermont. Yep.

Grindstone 100 - October 2014

Grindstone 100 – October 2014 – so happy to be back on my rocky, technical, mountainous trails. My favorite 100 of the year.

Pass Mountain Trail – Shenandoah National Park

A snowy run during the Polar Vortex. Animal tracks, deer beds and lots of snow made for an interesting and fun climb up the mountain and a fast, ski-like descent back down!
