Laurel Highlands Ultra

Here is a slideshow of beautiful trail from the 33rd annual Laurel Highlands Ultra in Pennsylvania. This 70.5 mile trail race was challenging, rocky, gorgeous, technical, rooty, fabulous, ferny, magical, frustrating, rocky, hilly, spectacular, and FUN. I took a few photos on trail – enjoy!

Rocktown Trails

Sweet single track right across the street from my parent’s house that connects with my high school cross country course. Always fun to run on the old CC course, and now there are these lovely trails too.  I enjoyed a few days of trail running while in town for Thanksgiving. Wish these had been there when I was in high school!

Tomlinson Run State Park

Camping with old friends, playing on the trails and in the woods at Tomlinson State Park in West Virginia. There were zillions of butterflies there! A very fun weekend.

Massanutten

A lovely trail run on the Massanutten Ridge Trail with @josephlandreth. Beautiful blue sky day with great views of the mountains.

Rosaryville Trail Race

Rosaryville State Park trail –  a nice hill lined with summer flowers.

Aid Station?

Because you never know when you might need a toaster on a trail run.

Into the Light

I enjoyed running some twisty, narrow, hilly single track trail in Maryland this weekend with @josephlandreth. It was cool and dark in the woods with a few bright clearings such as this one. The light filtering through the trees was really beautiful – a great contrast to the shady woods.

Rocks

These colorful rocks caught my eye while running at Fountainhead Park.
