Copperhead
While crossing a creek, I stepped on this guy’s tail. He slithered, I screamed. I’ll be happy if this is the only snake I see up close for a while. Yikes! (glad I got the picture though!)

So camouflaged that when I stepped on it I stood there for a few seconds trying to figure out what was moving around. Could have ended up in a scary situation! I’m glad his mouth was buried deep!
